Top C-USA WR out for year … North Texas has confirmed that emerging WR Rico Bussey tore an ACL in the Mean Green’s game with California on September 14th and will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2019 season. The 6-2, 190-pound Bussey was considered one of the better receiver prospects for the 2020 outside the ranks of the Power-5 conferences after hauling in 68 passes for over 1,000 yards and 12 scores last fall. As a 4th-year senior who will have played less that 4 games this year, Bussey is eligible to use a redshirt for this season and return to school in 2020, although he could also opt to make himself available for the upcoming draft.
