Few surprises at combine RB weigh-in … Along with the offensive linemen, the RBs did their measurables thing at the scouting combine in Indianapolis, although there wasn’t a whole lot to report that wasn’t pretty much expected. Alabama RB Josh Jacobs, who has emerged recently as the consensus top back in the 2019 draft class and the only likely to go in the opening round, is taller than expected at 5-11 and a cut 220. Jacobs also was the only back with a hand bigger than 10-inches. At the same time, Stanford scatback Bryce Love was a little bulkier than expected as he measured in at almost 5-9 and 200 pounds, up from the 186 or so that he was thought to have played at with the Cardinal. On the other hand, Devin Singletary of Florida Atlantic, another rising prospect in this year’s RB class, was somewhat smaller than expected as he measured in at just 5-7.5, 203 with smallish 8.5″ hands.
