Bonus coverage: bowl sched continues … The bowl schedule continues later this evening with the renewal of the storied rivalry between Ohio and San Diego State in the Frisco Bowl at 8 PM ET on ESPN. And for those Bobcat or Aztec fans, not to mention NFL scouts thinking ‘hey at least we get to spend a few days in San Francisco!’ its not that ‘Frisco!’ Its Frisco, Texas, which for the geographically challenged is just north of Dallas, 1,100 miles from Athens, Ohio and over 1,300 miles from San Diego. Fortunately, both schools are notorious for having fans that ‘travel well’ but its still a stretch! And while the game isn’t exactly loaded with prime time draft prospects there are several players that NFL teams will be checking out; in particular, the Ohio offensive line which includes OG Joe Lowery (#65, 6-6, 310), a legitimate third-day candidate for the upcoming draft, along with massive OT Joe Anderson (#63, 6-5, 335) and OG Durrell Wood (#57, 6-3, 300). Meanwhile, other Bobcats to watch include RB A.J. Ouelette (#45, 5-8, 215), who ran for over 1,100 yards and 12 scores this fall; LB Evan Crouch (#47, 6-1, 225) and junior FS Javon Hajan (#7, 6-0, 210). SDSU likely won’t have any seniors drafted this year, but does feature several talented underclassmen who could have NFL futures down the road including junior RB Juwan Washington (#29, 5-7, 190), junior LB Kyahva Tezino (#44, 6-0, 230) and sophomore C Keith Ismael (#60, 6-3, 310). Tezino, in particular, is coming off a highly productive season in which he had 120 total tackles including 8.5 sacks.
