Injury updates on top DL prospects Oliver, Gary … For the record, in the end, star Houston DT Ed Oliver did not play in the Cougars’ big win over previously unbeaten South Florida on Saturday. Oliver, a potential tip 5 prospect for the upcoming draft, has a bruised knee suffered the previous week against Navy. While the injury is not believed to be all that injury, but there is still no word whether Oliver will be available when the Cougars host SMU this week. On the other hand, there are growing whispers round Michigan that junior DE Rashan Gary, another possible top 5 candidate, may not play again this season because of a shoulder injury. Gary missed his third straight game this past weekend with the shoulder that was originally injured in fall camp. He did play through the Wolverines’ first 5 games, but was limited and has indicated through his family that he won’t play again until the injury is fully healed. Stay tuned!
