Bruins’ workout hilites Tuesday pro day slate … While the NFL was all aflutter over yesterday’s spate of major trades, the mundane work of getting ready for the 2015 draft with several key on-campus workouts. The most interesting was at UCLA where QB Brett Hundley, the consensus #3 QB in this year’s draft, went through a crisp scripted workout in which he reportedly threw the ball well, in the process completing 57 of 60 passes, with one of the misses a drop. In all, 28 teams were represented at the Bruins’ pro day, however, it doesn’t appear as if any senior personnel executives attended the workout which one might have expected if there were any QB-needy teams out there that viewed Hundley as more than a developmental prospect. Bruins’ DE/OLB Owa Odighizuwa also reportedly continued to impress as he worked out with both the DEs and then shifted to the LBs to do drills as a 3-4 OLB. On the other hand, MLB Eric Kendricks, who did not run at the combine because of a hamstring problem, tweaked the same injury and again was not able to run at the pro day. No word whether he will try and get in an official 40 at a later date. Meanwhile, top senior personnel people from around the league are expected to be fanning out across the country for what figures to be the mother-of-all pro days on this year’s schedule with on-campus workouts scheduled at Alabama, USC, Wisconsin and Oklahoma later today. and on deck is Marcus Mariota of Oregon who will workout with his former teammates at the Ducks’ pro day tomorrow.
