big pro day week

March 9, 2015

Monster week on pro day schedule … The busiest week of the annual pro day schedule gets underway later today with several on-campus workouts planned. The real action this week, though, comes later in the week. On Wednesday, for example, pro days are scheduled at Alabama, Southern California, Wisconsin and Oklahoma among other schools. Then on Thursday, Oregon, with headliner QB Marcus Mariota, will take the stage, while national champion Ohio State has its on-campus workout scheduled for Friday as do Oregon State and West Virginia. Here is the full schedule of on-campus workouts.

Suh to Dolphins…. Nothing will be official until the start of the new football year on Tuesday, but former Detroit DT Ndakumong Suh has reportedly agreed to terms with Miami on a record – for a defensive player – 6Y, $114M contract. With the loss of Suh, who anchored the Lions’ defense, Detroit could very well be looking at the position in the early rounds of the 2015 draft. Meanwhile, in other free agents moves to be announced on Tuesday, Philadelphia has reportedly come to terms with former Seattle CB Byron Maxwell and former 49ers’ RB Frank Gore, but have lost WR Jeremy Macklin to Kansas City, while OF Todd Herremans signed with Indianapolis after being released last week.. The Eagles also reportedly came to terms with QB Mark Sanchez to stay in Philly. Elsewhere, New England has taken S Devin McCourty off the market with a new deal, while San Francisco has reportedly signed former Baltimore WR Torrey Smith..
