Jets sign #3 pick Darnold; one rook holdout left … Earlier today, the New York Jets signed former USC QB Sam Darnold to a 4-year deal worth $30M with a 5th year club option. The deal came early enough in the day that Darnold, the 3rd player selected at the 2018 draft, was able to make the Jets’ practice session this afternoon, in effect ending a 3-day holdout. With Darnold now signed, the only remaining unsigned player from this year’s draft is Chicago LB Roquan Smith.
