Draft invitees list announced … Th NFL has released the list of players that will be attending this year’s draft in Philadelphia later this month. A total of 22 players will attend the draft including QBs Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina, Clemson’s DeShaun Watson and DeShone Kizer of Notre Dame; LSU RB Leonard Fournette; WRs John Ross of Washington and Western Michigan’s Corey Davis; OTs Garrett Bolles of Utah, Cam Robinson of Alabama, and Ryan Ramczyk of Wisconsin; DEs Jonathan Allen of Alabama, Stanford’s Solomon Thomas and Derek Barnett of Tennessee; Michigan State DT Malik McDowell; LBs Haason Reddick of Temple and UCLA’s Takk McKinley; KSU safety Jamal Adams; and CBs Marshon Lattimore and Gareon Conley of Ohio State, Colorado’s Chidobe Awuzie, Kevin King of Washington, LSU’s Tre’Davious White and Adoree Jackson of Southern California. Almost as interesting, though, are the players who won’t be attending the draft starting with Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett, the consensus favorite to the first player off the board, who will watch the draft at home with his family rather than attend in person. Other top ten prospects who won’t be in Philadelphia include Florida State RB Dalvin Cook, TE O.J. Howard and LB Reuben Foster of Alabama and Ohio State FS Malik Hooker, while Texas A&M QB Patrick Mahomes, Stanford RB Christian McCaffrey; Clemson WR Mike Williams, Miami TE David Njoku, Western Kentucky G/T Forrest Lamp, and Michigan SS-slash Jabrill Peppers also won’t be there. However, one probably shouldn’t read too much into either list.
