Wrist surgery for Ole Miss QB

Wrist surgery sidelines Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly … Misfortune appears to have thrown Mississippi QB Chad Kelly yet another curveball as he reportedly had to undergo surgery yesterday to repair a ruptured ligament in his wrist. Kelly, who is the nephew of former Bills’ QB Jim Kelly had to abandon his pro-day workout at the school last week because of the injury, but had hoped to throw for pro scouts at a private workout next week. Instead, Kelly won’t be able to throw at all for at least 3 months. However, if that schedule holds he should be available for the start of training camp in August. For Kelly, who had been considered a third-day prospect for the upcoming draft, its just another blow to his hopes of being draft. Kelly missed the latter part of the 2016 season after tearing an ACL and then had his invitation to the combine revoked because of some off-field issues.
