Sleeper TE prospect becomes free agent

April 5, 2017

Sleeper TE prospect becomes free agent … The NFL has declared that Virginia Commonwealth basketball star turned TE Mo Alie-Cox is not eligible for the 2017 draft and in fact is a free agent free to sign with any team. Alie-Cox is not draft eligible because he is more than 4 years removed from high school and would have had to have declared for last season’s draft to be eligible. Alie-Cox, who averaged 7.7 points and 1.8blocks per game as a senior this past season, has a pro day style workout scheduled for next Tuesday in Richmond. And while he hasn’t played organized football since his first year in high school, at least 20 teams have indicated they’ll have someone in attendance at this work out.
