Pats reportedly get TE Allen, pick from Colts … The NFL trading period doesn’t actually begin until tomorrow, but New England has reportedly agreed to a deal in which the Patriots will get veteran TE Dwayne Allen and a 6th round pick (#200) from Indianapolis for a 4th round pick, the 137th overall. Allen became expendable in Indianapolis when the Colts resigned Jack Doyle to a three-year $19M deal on Tuesday night, while New England is looing for a reliable back-up to Rob Gronkowski with Martellus Bennett becoming a free agent tomorrow. In acquiring another 4th round pick, the Colts now have three selections in the round. With this deal, we have updated the selection order for the upcoming draft as well as the picks by team file.
