Bills re-up vet QB Taylor … In a bit of a surprise, Buffalo has that it has agreed to a restructured contract with starting QB Tyrod Taylor. The Bills had until Saturday to make a decision on Taylor’s contract option, but had been expected to release him. In that scenario, the Bills had also been thought likely to consider using the 10th pick overall at this spring’s draft to select their QB of the future. The fact that Taylor will be staying in Buffalo will also affect the off-season QB market, including what happens at the draft, around the rest of the league. There has been speculation that more than one QB-needy team with a very early pick at this year’s draft was leaning toward trying to acquire a veteran – and Taylor was most teams next best option if they weren’t able to trade for Jimmy Garoppolo of New England – rather than using their early pick this year on the position. Stay tuned!
