Michigan’s Peppers to spice up draft … Michigan redshirt OLB/SS Jabrill Peppers finally confirmed earlier this afternoon that he will be entering the 2017 draft where he is projected to be a top 5-10 prospect. Peppers had denied reports last week that he had signed with an agent and would be headed to the draft, but that was last week. The big issue for Peppers is what position he plays at the next level. Peppers played as an OLB for Michigan this fall, but at barely 6-0, 205 which isn’t even all that big for a SS. No question about Peppers’ versatility, though, as in addition to being a difference-making playmaker on defense, he played RB and wildcat QB for the Wolverines as well as returned punts and KOs. Meanwhile, Florida State junior OT Rod Johnson has also declared for the draft. Johnson was once thought to be a strong first-round prospect, but he lacks the elite athleticism to figure as a prototype LT and has probably slipped deep into the second day. Here’s the full list of underclassmen who have indicated in one way or another that they will be entering the upcoming draft.
