Houston upsetting Cardinals

November 17, 2016

Major upset brewing in college football … Louisville appears to be on the verge of being blown out of contention for the college football playoff as the 5th ranked Cardinals are down 31-0 late in the first half in their game at Houston. Louisville was just on the edge of the 4-team playoff this week and were almost assured of moving up if they could hold serve in their final two games as Ohio State and Michigan, two of the other one-loss teams ahead of them in the CFP rankings still have to play against each other. If the Cardinals aren’t able to mount a remarkable comeback in the latter stages of tonight’s game it would open the door for Washington, now ranked 6th, to get back into the one of the top 4 spots once one of Ohio State or Michigan lose that game. It could also conceivably open the door for the Big XII champion, either Oklahoma, Oklahoma State or West Virginia, to make a CFP case. All that makes this weekend’s big conference match-up between the Sooners and Mountaineers in Morgantown all that much bigger. Should be a fun final 2-3 weeks of the college schedule. Stay tuned!!
