Ya just can’t make this stuff up … Folks who don’t watch a lot of college football – or just weren’t paying attention – missed two of the best finishes that one might ever want to see within minutes of each other in two of college football’s key games this afternoon. After Florida State took a 1-point lead with just 23 seconds to play, North Carolina got a 55-yard FG with no time on the clock to stun the Seminoles right in Tallahasse. And has anybody ever seen what for all intents and purposes were not one, but two, successful Hail Marys at the end of the same game. That’s what happened when Georgia took a 31-28 lead over visiting Tennessee when freshman Dawgs’ QB Jacon Eason hit fellow frosh Riley Ridley with a 47-yard TD with just 10 seconds on the clock and no time outs left. But two penalties and a short KO put the Tennessee in position for QB Josh Dobbs to at least try and throw the ball into the end zone going the other way where it was caught for a game-winning score by Jauan Jennings. Wow! And we still have the game of the week to go when #3 Louisville and #5 Clemson kick it off in just over half an hour.
