Tide DE to return; other underclassmen notes … In a bit of a surprise, Alabama junior DE Jon Allen has announced that he will be returning to school for his senior season. Allen had been considered by many analysts to be a first-round prospect for this year’s draft after he lead the national champs with 12 sacks despite playing barely half the team’s defensive snaps this fall. It is also believed that both of Tide juniors O.J. Howard, the junior TE who had a breakout game in the national championship, and ILB Reuben Foster, will also both return next fall. It is also believed that two LSU juniors – CB Tre’Davious White and MLB Kendrell Beckwith – are also planning to return to school next fall, although they do still have a couple more days to rethink their options. The two Tigers will join junior WR Travin Dural in returning to LSU next fall. One SEC junior who appraently won’t be back in school next fall is big-play Tennessee WR Marquez North who is not currently registered for courses this semester. What isn’t known at this point whether North plans to enter the 2016 drfat or transfer; however, because he has yet to graduate, North would have to drop down to the FCS level if he wanted to play at another college next fall. In fact, the only player to announce that they will in fact be entering the upcoming draft is Northern Iowa junior OLB Brett McMakin, the 3rd FCS player to declare for the 2016 draft along with Eastern Kentucky junior OLB Noah Spence and Delaware P Eric Enderson.
