49ers to add top vet edge rusher … In all the drama over the Giants-Browns trade involving Odell Beckham yesterday, another deal between San Francisco and Kansas City kind of got overlooked. The 49ers will acquire 2018 Pro Bowl OLB Dee Ford from the Chiefs in exchange for a 2020 2nd round pick. Heading into the 2019 draft where they hold the 2nd pick overall, the 49ers top priority appears to have been an edge rusher. They still may go that way at #2 with Nick Bosa or a Josh Allen, but the acquisition does free them up to consider other options such as a trade down if the opportunity arises. Stay tuned!
