Wisconsin pro day

March 10, 2021

OT Van Lanen runs well at Badger pro day … Good on Wisconsin for at least posting the numbers from their pro day earlier today. Veteran OT Cole Van Lanen, the only Badger currently included in the GBN Big Board ranking of the top 200 prospects for the upcoming draft, had a decent day, with an unofficial clocking of 5.01 in the 40 with a 1.69 10-yard split. Both would have been among the top times at the 2020 combine. In fact, Van Lanen’s split time, if it holds up, would have been tied for the best figure last year. Van Lanen also had a pretty good, for an OL, vertical leap of 30 inches, but pro scouts had to be a little disappointed that he only managed 22 reps in the BP. Meanwhile, 5-tech DE Isaiahh Loudermilk, was clocked in 4.95 seconds in the 40 along with 21 BP reps; while safety Eric Burrell was credited with a 4.65 40 time and FB Mason Stokke with a 4.82. One Badger who pro scouts may want to go back and look at some old tapes is CB Rachad Wildgoose who played in only 2 games this fall, but did have a total of 13 pass breakups over the two previous campaigns; Wildgoose posted a 4.41 40 at the Badgers’ pro day along with a 36″ vertical, but managed only 11 reps in the BP.
