GEORGIA (7-1) by 10 @ KENTUCKY (7-1)
The winner in this one takes the lead in the SEC East with 3 games to go, only 1 each in SEC play. Kentucky has really been struggling the past month on Offense. In the month of October they managed only 14, 14, and 15 points in their three games, but winning 2 of them on solid Defense. To put it bluntly, the big issue is the erratic play of Soph QB TERRY WILSON, #3. He’s an outstanding athlete, but a mistake prone leader right now. I doubt very much if any of those 3 point outputs is going to come close to beating UGA, with QB JAKE FROMM, #11, looking poised and effective right now. Only in their 1 loss to LSU, has Georgia scored less than 36 points. The Wildcats will do well to keep it close for a half, but I like UGA to pull away in the second half.

WEST VIRGINIA (6-1) @ TEXAS (6-2) by 8
The Longhorns are in a must-win situation after their upset loss last week, in-conference, to Oklahoma State. As long as QB SAM EHLINGER, #11, is really healthy, I think TEXAS will rise up at home and smite the Mountaineers. NFL Prospect WILL GRIER/QB has his Offense flying high overall, but they really hit a road bump three weeks ago @ IOWA STATE. Look for the Longhorns D to create a few takeaways, and the WVU Defense to cave in during the second half.
West Virginia prospects include:
#7 WILL GRIER QB 6’2/215 *
#12 GARY JENNINGS WR 6’1/215

PENN STATE (6-2) @ MICHIGAN (7-1) by 6
Despite having some solid vets on Offense, including do it all QB TRACE McSORLEY, State seems to have struggled on Offense against quality opponents this year. That is a truly bad omen when traveling to Ann Arbor to face the Wolverines top notch Defense. Coach Harbaugh’s team this year would make Coach Bo proud. They pound the rock on Offense, and seem to get 6 men to the ball every time their opponent tries to run on them. My gut says this could get ugly, much to the delight of 107,000-plus in the Big House!

CALIFORNIA (5-3) @ WASHINGTON STATE (7-1) by 7
CAL upset Washington last weekend, and has a chance to play spoiler again this week. They play well on both sides of the ball and can create takeaways. The Cougars have looked like a team of destiny most weekends this season. The Offense may continue to improve under well traveled grad transfer QB GARDNER MINSHEW, #16. He’s the real deal, and a legit NFL prospect. State also gets a decided home field advantage when playing in Martin Stadium in Pullman.
