Wake QB Hartman out for ‘extended’ period … Wake Forest has confirmed that star QB Sam Hartman, one of the more intriguing prospects at the position, will miss what is being described as an ‘extended’ period because of a non-football related health issue. In fact, it appears there is a good possibility that Hartman won’t play at all this fall. Indeed, he has left the possibility of returning for the 2023 season open for now. The 6-1, 210-pound Hartman threw for over 4,200 yards and 39 TDs last fall, while running for another 360 yards and 11 scores as he lead Wake to an impressive 11-3 season. All the best to the young man who is a true character player.
