Wake Forest

As many as 29 NFL teams were in attendance at the Wake Forest pro day where rising FS Jesse Bates was the star attraction, although he stood largely on his combine performance. For the record, Pittsburgh, including head coach Mike Tomlin, got the prized evening before dinner date with Bates. Unfortunately, the Deamon Deacons best prospects other than Bates, who appears to have worked himself into this year’s second day, weren’t able to work out fully today. DE Duke Ejifor, for example, is still rehabbing from off-season shoulder surgery on a torn labrum, while TE Cam Serigne tweaked a hamstring during the day and was unable to finish.
