While most of the national pro day attention was on Oklahoma today, several teams were focused on other spots. Oakland G.M. Reggie Mckenzie, for example, passed on the chance to visit Norman and instead was at the Virginia Tech workout where he was no doubt checking out rising Hokies’ LB Tremaine Edmunds. And that makes sense because the Raiders have the 10th pick in this year’s opening round, right around where Edmunds is projected to go. Pittsburgh was also represented at the VaTech pro day by G.M. Kevin Colbert and head coach Mike Tomlin, although it should be noted that those two go to a lot of pro days. At the same time, Cincinnati had defensive line coach Jacob Burnley in Blacksburg where he reportedly spent a lot of time with NT Tim Settle. For the record, Settle who did not have a good combine, was 6 pounds lighter at the Hokies’ workout and reportedly looked 6 pounds quicker.
