Just about every NFL team (29 out of 32) was represented at the Vanderbilt pro day. Rising OLB Oren Burks, who had a phenomenal combine, stood on his numbers from Indianapolis, but did do some positional drills. At the same time, RB Ralph Webb, who was not at the combine, had a solid day as his unofficial 40 time as reported by the school (4.48) was under 4.50. Webb, who was listed at 5-10, 205 on the school’s roster, also managed a very impressive 27 reps in the bench press, had leaps of 36″ in the vertical and 10-2 in the long jump, each of which would have been competitive with the field in Indianapolis and could get him some serious late round or premium free agent consideration. Meanwhile, WR Trent Sherferd reportedly ran in the 4.4 range, while CB Tre Herndon clocked in at just under 4.5 seconds, although neither is considered to be more than a fringe prospect.
