X-Vols RB Hurd lands at Baylor … Former Tennessee RB Jalen Hurd has ultimately decided to transfer to Baylor where he plans to switch to WR in the Bears’ high-octane offense. Hurd entered the 2016 season regarded as one of the top backs in the country, but he struggled with injuries and inconsistency and ultimately left the team in mid-season. There was some thought that Hurd would enter the 2017 draft, but he obviously didn’t. And now that he has transferred to another FBS school he will have to sit out the upcoming season. At 6-4, 240, Hurd will make an interesting option at receiver for Baylor; no doubt he’ll play in the slot, but that won’t be an easy translation to the NFL game.
