USC WR London doesn’t run at pro day

April 15, 2022

USC WR London doesn’t run at private pro day … In the end, pro teams will have to go to the 2022 draft without knowing just how fast the highest rated receiver actually runs. Southern California WR Drake London was expected to finally work out for pro scouts at a private pro day work out today in LA, but he only ran routes and did not run the 40. London was having an incredible year with the Trojans, but fractured a foot in the 8th week of the campaign and ultimately missed the rest of the season as well as the combine and USC’s regular pro day. He did have a private pro day scheduled for earlier this month but had to back off because of a tweaked hamstring.  London is a big receiver at 6-4, 213 with 34-inch arms who had 88 receptions for over 1,000 yards in the 7-plus games he did play last fall, but there are questions about his long speed which it now appears will not be answered before the draft. For the record, there were just over a half dozen teams with reps at London’s work out today including Detroit, Houston, the NY Jets, Washington, Tennessee, Arizona and the LA Chargers.
