Promising UMass TE to retire …UMass TE Adam Breneman, who had been considered to be a decent second-tier prospect at the position for the upcoming draft, has opted to give up football and retire because of injuries. Breneman actually retired in January of 2016 when he was at Penn State because of a knee injury, but opted to give football another try when the knee improved and ultimately transferred UMass where he caught 70 passes in 2016. However, the knee issues recurred this past season and have not improved appreciably this winter.
