UCLA DT in; Iowa LB out of draft … UCLA junior DT Eddie Vanderdoes has announced that he will be entering the 2017 draft despite the fact that he still has a year of college eligib ty left. Vanderdoes was an emerging draft star heading into the 2015 season, but he ended up sitting out almost all of last season after suffering a serious knee injury in the opener. This year, Vanderdoes played in every game this season despite an ankle injury that limited him in practice toward the end of the season. For the year, the 6-3, 325-pound Vanderdoes had 27 tackles, including 1.5 sacks. In contrast, he had a total of 39 and 50 tackles respectively in 2013 and 2014 before being injured. Meanwhile, Iowa junior LB Josey Jewell, who had over 250 tackles over the past couple of seasons, has announced that he will return to school for the 2017 draft.
