Two enter draft; one not

January 13, 2020

Two enter draft; one not … Two more players announced earlier today that they would be entering the 2020 draft including Baylor DT James Lynch and Iowa SS Geno Stone. Lynch was the Big XII Defensive player of the year this past season when he led the conference with 13.5 sacks. The 6-4, 295-pound Lynch lined up primarily as a defensive end in the Bears’ three-man defensive line last season, but is being considered primarily as a DT for the upcoming draft where the GBN has him rated as the #4 DT in the positional ranking and the 44th player overall on the Big Board. Meanwhile, the NFL has been anxiously waiting to hear from Iowa, just DB Stone wasn’t one of either of the two Hawkeyes top ten prospects in OT Tristan Wirfs and DE A.J. Epenesa. In fact, the 5-10, 210-pound Stone is a later round or free agent candidate who had 70 tackles this past fall, along with a sack and a pick. At the same time, star Oklahoma State redshirt sophomore Chuba Hubbard has confirmed that he will be returning to school for his senior campaign.
