Trade deadlin day fizzles

November 3, 2020

Trade deadline day fizzles … With a number of big name players being shopped, folks around the NFL were bracing for some fireworks. However, when whatever smoke was out there cleared, the day ended with a whimper rather than a bang. In fact, if it hadn’t been for Miami there wouldn’t have been any trading at all. The Dolphins, though, did complete two very minor deals as they sent WR Isaiah Ford to division-rival New England for what is being reported as a 7th round pick in 2022 and then acquired RB DeAndre Washington from Kansas City in a deal involving a swap of late 2021 picks; the Chiefs get a 6th rounder from Miami, while Miami will include a 7th in the deal.
