Top DT prospect Banks broke foot at combine … Former Florida DT Caleb Banks, one of the top prospects at the position for the upcoming draft, broke a bone in his foot at last month’s scouting combine in Indianapolis. as originally reported by the The Athletic’s Dane Brugler. Banks actually unknowingly injured the foot the evening before the DTs went thru their on-field workouts at the combine. In fact, Banks started the workout and actually posted a very impressive 5.04 40 clocking running at 327 pounds before stopping because of the discomfort in his foot. Banks underwent surgery earlier this week and hopes to be back on the field as early as June. What isn’t clear at this time is if this issue is in any way related to the fact that Banks missed all but two games this year after suffering a foot injury back in fall training camp.
