Titans asking for Kings ransom for #1 pick

Titans asking for ‘king’s ransom’ for top pick … Tennessee G.M. Jon Robinson  told a gathering of Titans’ season ticket holders earlier today that any team that is interested in trading up to get the #1 pick in this year’s draft had better be prepared to part with a ‘king’s ransom’ in return. The Titans had indicated earlier in the draft process that the #1 pick was for sale, but Robinson’s comments tend to indicate that Tennessee isn’t pining to get out of the top pick and may really like their options with the top pick. Said Robinson: “There is a group of players that are at the top of the draft, that, you don’t want to move back too far cause you can miss out on one of those guys, and if you do move back that far you want to make sure that you have a king’s ransom, for lack of a better term, to move that far!” The Titans are expected to take Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil with this year’s #1 pick to provide QB Marcus Mariota, last year’s top pick some help up-front.
