Tide’s Saban says only one Bama player top 15 prospect … Interesting story from this week’s Citrus Bowl where Alabama head coach Nick Saban said he has received draft grades from most NFL teams on the program’s draft-eligible underclassmen and that only junior QB Tua Tagovailoa received a grade higher than top 15 pick. In indicating that his injured QB, who won’t be playing in the Citrus Bowl against Michigan, was the only player to be graded in the top half of the first round, Saban dropped a hint that the NFL’s evaluation of some of Alabama’s other top prospects, most notably junior WR Jerry Jeudy might not be as high as that among the draft community. Of course, Saban could also be just trying to motivate his guys, who didn’t make the CFP playoffs for the 1st time in what seems like forever this year, prior to their bowl date with Michigan. For the record, the GBN has Jeudy rated as the 11th overall prospect on the GBN Big Board.
