Tech QB Sorsby asking for quick resolution to eligibility issues … Lawyers for Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby are requesting an expedited resolution to the NCAA investigation looking into the players gambling habits. Sorsby’s legal team also indicated that they will consider legal action of their own if the issue isn’t resolved quickly. Sorsby, a potential top NFL prospect who transferred to the Red Raiders from Cincinnati this winter, checked himself into a gambling rehab facility earlier this spring after it was alleged that he had made 000’s of bets online including on college football. The big issue there for Sorsby is that he reportedly bet on at least one Cincinnati game during his redshirt year there which according to NCAA rules could result in a lifetime suspension. In the meantime, Sorsby has until the end of June to apply to the NFL for entry to any summer supplemental draft, although he’d rather return to school where he has a substantial NIL contract on the table. Stay tuned!
