Star game week set to KO

January 24, 2021

Star game week set to KO … In normal times, we’d be in the midst of all-star season. However, in this year of the pandemic, it’s been reduced to all-star week with the only two games on this year – the Senior Bowl and the Hula Bowl – scheduled for later this week. The Senior Bowl will be moving to new digs at the University of South Alabama this year after what seemed like forever at the old Ladd-Peebles Stadium. No matter, we’ll be there on the ground as usual at the Senior Bowl as GBN Associate Editor Pigskin Paul Guillemette will be making his annual pilgrimage to Mobile, pandemic be damned. Stay tuned for his reports from this week’s practice sessions. In the meantime, here is Pigskin’s Senior Bowl preview of some of the stuff he’ll be looking for in Mobile this week. For the record, senior Bowl practices get underway on Tuesday with the actual game scheduled for 2:30 PM ET on Saturday with coverage all week by the NFL Network. Meanwhile, the Hula Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 31st at Aloha Stadium with kick-off slated for 7 PM EST on CBS Sports Network. And while the Hula Bowl doesn’t have a whole lot of name prospects, the roster does include several QBs with legit pro potential including Peyton Ramsey of Northwestern, KJ Costello of Mississippi State and Memphis’ Brady White. Here is the full roster from the Hula Bowl.
