Saturday morning college notes … We are just over two and a half hours away from kicking off the big Big Ten game between Michigan and Ohio State in Columbus and just to update yesterday’s preview of who to watch, it appears that both of injured RBs Blake Corum of the Wolverines and the Buckeyes’ Miyan Williams will at least be suiting up and giving it a go … One injury we are following this morning involves Florida State DE Jared Verse, one of the hot prospects for the 2023 draft. Verse appeared to tweak a knee in the first half of last night’s 45-38 win over Florida and did not return in the second half. In that game, Florida QB Anthony Richardson, arguably the most polarizing player in the 2023 draft field, was well polarizing. He made some plays throwing for three scores, but in the end was just 9 of 27 passing with a pick thrown in … Speaking of Ohio State, DB Ronnie Hickman has announced that he will forego his remaining eligibility and will enter the 2023 draft where he is a second-day type prospect. On the other hand, Montana State RB Isaiah Ifanse, who is considered to be one of the better FCS prospects this year, has announced that he will take advantage of the extra year of eligibility the NCAA gave all players because of COVID and will return to school. And finally, the Senior Bowl announced the addition of one more player in South Alabama WR Jalen Wayne. Have a great football day!!!
