Rising Va Tech CB to opt out of season

Rising Va Tech CB to opt out of season … Another story of note from earlier in the week as rising Virginia Tech redshirt junior CB Caleb Farley announced that he has opted out of the 2020 season and instead will concentrate on preparing for the 2021 draft where he has some first-round potential. Farley’s mother passed away a couple of years ago and he indicated he didn’t want put any other members of his family at risk. The 6-1, 210-pound Farley was a high school QB who switched to defense when he arrived in Blacksburg. Farley was an All-ACC first teamer last fall when he had 4 picks and 16 total pass breakups. NFL teams, though, will have some concerns about Farley’s durability after he missed the entire 2017 season with a torn ACL and then underwent back surgery this past winter.
