Ravens tag QB Jackson; Jets meeting with Rodgers … To almost nobody’s surprise, Baltimore has applied the franchise tag to QB Lamar Jackson. That means that teams can still talk with Jackson and even sign him to an offer sheet, but the Ravens retain the right to match the offer; if they don’t the Ravens will be owed 2 first round draft picks.
Meanwhile, it appears there is something cooking with the NY Jets and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay reportedly gave Rodgers permission to talk with other teams and he reportedly met with Jets’ officials yesterday and today Jets front-office people are in Green Bay for further discussions.
