QB Carr appears headed to Saints … Multiple media sources are reporting at this hour, that New Orleans is close to signing former Las Vegas QB Derek Carr to a 4-year deal. Ironically, the Saints were the one team that Carr visited prior to being released by the Raiders. Carr then reportedly met with New Orleans’ officials brass during the combine in Indianapolis last week where he also met with the NY Jets and Carolina. If Carr does in fact come to terms with the Saints, he will be re-united with New Orleans head coach Dennis Allen, who started as a rookie in 2014, although the Raiders fired Allen just four games into that season. Meanwhile, the Jets are still waiting on Aaron Rodgers to make a decision if and where he wants to play next fall, while Carolina, which has the 9th pick at the 2023 draft, now appears to be even more in full trade-up mode to address their QB situation.
