Pack G/T Ekwonu; two others enter draft … Three more players made their NFL announcements including North Carolina State G/T Ikem Ekwonu, Southern Cal DE/OLB Drake Jackson and Mississippi RB Jerrion Ealy. All three will be foregoing their remaining college eligibility and entering this year’s draft. USC’s Jackson, in fact, had told reporters prior to the season that 2021 would be his last year in college, so he was just confirming an earlier statement. He’s a late first/early second round prospect, while NC State’s Ekwonu is a potential top ten candidate. Ole Miss’ Ealy, on the other hand, is more of a third-day type. Speaking of Ole Miss, the NFL is still waiting for more information on Rebels’ QB Matt Corral, who spent the second half of last night’s Sugar Bowl loss to Baylor hobbling around the sidelines on crutches after getting his leg rolled up on a first quarter sack, although Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffen did say after the game that x-rays had been negative.
