OSU CB Okudah meh in 40

March 1, 2020

OSU CB Okudah just okay in 40 … The CBs have finished their 40-yard runs at the scouting combine in Indianapolis and while the times are still unofficial the main talking point will be that Ohio State’s Jeff Okudah’s times of 4.48 and 4.50 probably weren’t quite what either he or pro scouts were expecting. They are not bad times, but not great either, as the expectation was that he’d run no worse than the low 4.4s. Let the debate begin. There were also some somewhat mixed results in the battle to be the next CB off the board. Florida’s C J Henderson, for example, made a statement running under 4.40, while Clemson’s A J Terrell had a fast 4.43 time and LSU’s Kristian Fulton ran a solid 4.47 clocking. On the other hand, Ohio State’s Damon Arnette had to be disappointed with a rather pedestrian 4.57 clocking. Meanwhile, other standouts included Utah’s appropriately named Javelin Guidry, who had a very javelin like run of 4.30, the fastest, by far, of all the corners. At the same time, a couple of other lesser known corners in Auburn’s Javaris Davis and Josiah Scott of Michigan State blitzed times of 4.40 and 4.42 respectively. On the other hand, the Jackson’s – Dane of Pitt and Nebraska’s Lamar – had to be disappointed with their times in the high 4.5 range.
