Ole Miss WR Moore rips pro day … Somebody must have juiced the water today as there were some really outstanding pro day performances across the country. We already reported on the Penn State numbers but Mississippi WR Elijah Moore was just as good at the Rebels on-campus workout. Moore wasn’t all that big at just 5-9.5 and 178 pounds, but he was just a blur on the move posting times of 4.35 seconds in the 40, along with 4-flat in the short shuttle and 6.66 in the 3-cone drill, both of which would have been the fastest at the position at the 2020 combine. Moore’s leaps of 36-inches in the vertical and 10-0 in the LJ weren’t quite as explosive but still solid. Meanwhile, the other Ole Miss player to maybe help himself somewhat on the day was OG Royce Newman, who measured in at just over 6-5 and 310 pounds, and ran the 4o in 5.08 seconds, had 23 reps in the BP, and a 28-inch vertical each of which was in the ballpark for an OL. Same for Newman’s times in the agility drills, which would have been roughly in the middle-of-the-pack at the 2020 combine.
