NT Lawrence one of 3 Tigers’ under PED cloud … Star DT Dexter Lawrence, a potential first-round prospect for the 2019 draft, is one of three Clemson players who tested positive for a banned substance earlier this month and likely won’t play in this weekend’s national semi-final in the Cotton Bowl in Arlington. The three will have b-samples tested later this week and if the supplementary tests are also positive each could face a one-year suspension from college football, although all three have claimed innocence. However, for Lawrence, a 340-pound junior run stuffer who is considered to be a late opening round candidate if he enters this year’s draft, the news can hardly be good from the perspective of his ultimate draft grade.
