Clemson dethrones Alabama; NFL waits on Tide, Tigers underclassmen … The national championship rubber match between Alabama and Clemson turned into a bit of a dud, but not in the way most people expected as the underdog Tigers routed the defending national champions 44-16. And with the national championship now in the books, NFL personnel people will now await word from the slew of quality juniors and redshirt sophomores from Alabama and Clemson. Alabama underclassmen expected to enter the draft, for example, include DT Quinnen Williams, OT Jonah Williams, FS Deionte Thompson, and DT Raekwon Davis, each of whom has top 15 potential, along with OLB Anfernee Jennings and RB Josh Jacobs, while Clemson underclassmen the NFL is waiting on include DE Clelin Ferrell, DT Dexter Lawrence, CB Trayvon Mulle, ILB Tre Lamar and OLB Isaiah Simmons. And no you can’t have any of Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence or RB Travis Etienne or Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Jerry Jeudy as they aren’t eligible for this year’s draft. In fact, Lawrence won’t be available until, but teams are already lining up to figure out a way him whenever he does come out. Stay tuned!
