New Mexico pro day

March 12, 2021

With most of their seniors returning for another year in college, New Mexico only had a couple of guys working out this year so only 5 teams sent reps. What they saw was a pretty good day from Lobos’ OT Teton Saltes, a 3rd day prospect for the 2020 draft who pressed 225 pounds 22 times, had a vertical jump of 30.5 inches, a long jump of 8-9 inches, along with a 40-time of 4.94. All would have been solid numbers at the 2020 combine. What pro teams won’t have to worry about is Saltes character as he was this year’s winner of college football’s Wuerffel Award for community service. On the other hand, P Tyson Dyer didn’t have as good of a day in front of the scouts, as he was inconsistent with his length and hang time.
