New 3-round mock posted

February 10, 2025

New 3-round projection posted … We have been reluctant to post a new mock draft in large part because we felt that there was just too much uncertainty with the first 4 picks. However, upon further review, at least from a projection point of view, what could happen in the those initial picks this coming April, is in fact coming into sharper focus. On the one hand, it appears, again at least at this time, that Miami QB Cam Ward will be the first pick overall, most likely by Tennessee. It also appears as if Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and Penn State DE Abdul Carter most likely will be the 2nd and 3rd players taken, again most likely by Cleveland and the NY Giants, although which is which is much less clear. If the Browns take Sanders, the Giants grab Carter; however, if the Browns pass on Sanders – and they have other issues at QB – they take Carter and the Giants get Sanders. Of course, the whole thing can be muddied by trades etc., but we’ll deal with those when they happen. All that leaves Travis Hunter for New England and then its on we go. So without further ado, here is our updated 3-round projection for the 2025 draft, although as we have noted in the past the goal here isn’t so much to try and predict which team will select which player, but to give some sense of what players would likely be available at different points in the draft based on what we know today.
