The Huskers likely won’t have anyone drafted until the 3rd day of the upcoming draft, although CB Dicaprio Bootle at least worked out like a higher rated prospect at the team’s pro day earlier today. Bootle had a 36.5-inch vertical and a 10-6 long jump, while breaking the 4.4 mark in the 40 with an unofficial 4.38 clocking. If nothing else, it may send a few teams back to the tapes to see why such an athletic player never made more of a dent on the college game. Meanwhile, LT Brenden Jaimes is generally considered to be the better 3rd day prospect than Matt Farniok, his RT counterpart, but it was Farniok who looked more the part today. Farniok measured in at a full-sized 6-5, 312, posted an impressive 38 reps in the BP, had a 33-inch vertical and ran the 40 in the mid-5.2 range. Jaimes, on the other hand, came in at 6-5, but just under 300 pounds. He had 25 BP reps, but didn’t run the 40 because of tightness in a hamstring.
