Little more fallout from Rodgers trade … Just a couple of notes re today’s big trade in which the NY Jets finally acquired QB Aaron Rodgers from Green Bay. In the course of the deal, the Packers added a net of one pick in this week’s draft which gives them a total of 11 selections this weekend tied for the third most in the league with New England, San Francisco and the LA Rams behind Houston and Las Vegas both of which currently have 12 picks. On the other hand, in losing a pick the Jets now have just 5 picks this week, tied for second fewest with Denver, Baltimore, and Minnesota, but ahead of Miami which has just one. Here is the full list of picks by team as we currently have it. Meanwhile, even though the only change in the opening round as a result of the trade involved Green Bay and the Jets flipping the 13th and 15th picks, it does kind of mess up everybody’s mocks. In fact, in updating our first round, as we said we would if there were trades, we ended up just flipping those two picks extant, but we did make some adjustments later in the round to maybe better reflect where players are likely to be selected.
