LB Jack won’t run this week; may not at all before draft

LB Jack won’t run this week; may not at all before draft … NFL teams with early picks were hoping that star UCLA LB Myles Jack would run the 40 at a private pro day on Friday. Instead it turned out to be April Fool’s with word that Jack will in fact not run this week. Jack tore an MCL back in September and is still rehabbing although he did participate on a limited basis in the Bruins’ formal pro day two weeks. Jack will return to Indianapolis for a medical recheck on April 14-15 and could still conceivably run at a private team workout before the draft, but it is looking more an more likely that he may not run for all teams prior to the draft. That’s not likely to hurt Jack’s draft status as most teams know that he can really run. Of more concern, though is the fact that the recovery from the knee issue is taking longer than first expected, although he is still expected to be a top 10 if not top 5 pick this coming April.
