The Senior Bowl announced the addition of 13 more players who have accepted invitations to this year’s game including QBs Josh Dobbs of Tennessee, Sefo Liufau of Colorado, Pitt’s Nate Peterman and rising star Antonio Pipkin of DII Tiffin; record-setting San Diego State RB Donnel Pumphrey; Pitt OG Dorian Johnson; Kanas State DE Jordan Willis, the Big XII defensive player of the year; Florida OLB Jarrad Davis; CBs Damontae Kazee of San Diego State, Tennessee’s Cam Sutton and Marquez White of Florida State; Miami P Justin Vogel; and Louisville LS Colin Holba. For the record, Peterman had previously committed in the Shrine game and it is not clear whether he has decommited from the latter game or whether he will try and participate in both. Also for the record, the top-rated players in this latest round of additions are Pitt OG Johnson and Florida OLB Davis, both of whom have received some late first round consideration. The most intriguing player in today’s announcement could be Tiffin QB Pipkin, who some have described as a poor man’s Cam Newton. The 6-2, 210-pound Pipkin is only the 3rd QB in DII history to throw for over 10,000 yards and rush for over 2,000 yards in a career. With the latest additions, the Senior Bowl roster is now at 81. This year’s Senior Bowl will be played January 28th in Mobile with practices set to begin on the 24th.
