Jags’ 7th rounder likely done for year … Its beginning to look like if Jacksonville didn’t have any bad luck with their recent draft picks they wouldn’t have any luck at all as the team has confirmed that DE Jonathan Woodard, the Jags’ 7th round pick this year from Central Arkansas, likely will miss the 2016 season after tearing an Achilles tendon during a workout earlier this month. That’s on top of the news that CB Jalen Ramsey, the team’s first-round selection, suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee late last week and met with noted orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews for a second opinion today. Depending on the type of surgical procedure required, Ramsey could miss anywhere from six weeks to six months. The good news for the Jags, though, is that Ramsey has signed his rookie contract. The Jags are also cautiously optimistic that DE Dante Fowler, last year’s #1 pick who missed the year after tearing an ACL in training camp, appears to be fully recovered and should be good to go when training camp opens at the end of July.
